The Albion won this evening’s six-pointer
by one goal to nil so that’s us four points clear in sixth
place. It wasn’t our best performance but we did the job,
I for one am not complaining. We scored early in the first half
when Mark B pounced on a rebound from a corner, he was also
unlucky not to head home from one soon afterwards. Both teams
had their chances although I must say that Giles was the less
busy of the keepers. We could have done with a bit more composure
(and talking, especially once Dan “vocal” Lewington
went off ) but we scraped it in the end. |
There’s no obvious man of tonight’s
match so this time it goes to the defence as a whole, what with
being young and fit, Camden Lions broke through our ranks several
times only to be foiled by Steve or Mark (and also Dom) at the
last instant. Giles is included in that too as his new-found
coming out at feet ability came into it’s own on a couple
of occasions. |
| Our team (4-4-2 r-l): Giles; Dom, Steve F, Mark,
Will; Sean, Dan (Big Phil 62), Jim, MH Pete (Irish Pete 62); Joss,
Rich. |
