| A good result tonight (eventually!), the Albion
are now fifth in the league. |
| We played QC Aces tonight, they’re second
from bottom but our games against them have usually been quite
tight. The Reds started the game with the wind behind them and
looked the better team throughout. We were unlucky in front of
goal a few times in the first half (and indeed the second) but
went in at half time a goal up thanks to Jim’s lobbing the
goalie on twenty minutes. The windy conditions helped QC as our
passing game was made harder but the team nonetheless worked well
together. |
| QC got back in the game early in the second
half, scoring after five minutes from a free kick then again five
minutes after that. Heads did not go down though, and after a
quarter of an hour’s good pressure eventually Irish Pete
surged forward from full back to equalise. Jim put us ahead soon
after when their keeper came Lehmaning miles out of his area so
that Jim could take the ball round him and finish in his own time.
The Albion missed a couple of sitters after that, plus James and
Ramsay were involved in a comedy cameo where both hit the bar
in the space of two seconds; James made it 4-2 with five minutes
to go. |
