| The Albion were basically outplayed last night;
we went out of our last cup 6-1 at the hands of Weaver’s
Arms. James opened the scoring after ten minutes after we broke
out of our half, that’s him two goals clear of Joss in the
scorer’s table. After that they were all over us and got
three before half time. During the break Captain Will pointed
out (quite rightly) that we hadn’t been doing ourselves
credit and had better start to take some interest in the game
and he was right. |
The second half was much better from an Albion
point of view, more talking, movement and trying to win the
ball. Weaver’s got three more but the Reds tried hard
until the end, heads did not go down. Which is the way it should
be, football is fun after all. I should know, I made my first
appearance of the season and enjoyed it immensely. And I think
Giles enjoyed his outing at right back and then striker as well.
Man of the match is Rob who made several fine saves and didn’t
put a foot wrong throughout the game. |
| Our team (4-4-2 r-l): Rob; Giles, Dom, Ken,
Will(c); Mikey, James, Rich, Mark S, Tom (Al 55), Dennis. |
